Eastern Star Room 06/13/1891 Named for the Eastern Star group who held a meeting in the cave in this area. May also be the room called Five Points by Alvin McDonald.
Ebonite Passage 05/12/1991 An area with little black crystals ranging from very small up to 1/2" long. Exits on the HN survey on the Lakes Route. Bill Hawn, Bob Phillips, Vern Carlson, & Dave Lester.
Editors Sanctum 07/21/2000 The words "Editors Sanctum NT" were found written in 19th century script in pencil in the ceiling of this room. Surveyed by Rod Horrocks, Ed Schenk, Belinda Fox, & Todd Brink
Ed's Alley 04/13/1985 An eight-foot high passage found by Ed LaRock. Andy Flurkey, John Scheltens, Ed LaRock, & Rich Sloan.
Eds Big Room 02/11/1984 A low-ceilinged room. Ed LaRock, John Scheltens, Eric Liebes, & Andy Flurkey.

Egg Hatchery
Named for the geodes found in the walls and ceiling of this area. These geodes look like eggs stuck in the walls of the cave. Lester Lewis, Dave Springhetti, Mark Stock.
1897 Room 4/21/1984 A room with the date 1897 written on the wall next to a big rock. Between the Cairn Room and the Amphitheater. Name was on a 1963 map by Daniel Fredman.
86-Mile Dome 11/27/1999 A 22-foot high dome that was encountered just as the cave survey arrived at the 86-mile mark. In the Mind Boggler passage. Surveyed by Rod Horrocks, Marc Ohms, & Brad Oen
El Discusto Crawl 09/01/1980 A nasty little crawl near Bush Gardens. John Scheltens, Dave Springhetti
El Poop-O 11/03/1986 This tight hole had a strong wind blowing through it and even though Jim Pisarowicz had removed his clothes he could still not get through. The name represents the frustration of the explorers. Bob Kobza and Jim Pisarowicz
Elbow Room 07/14/1976 Just past the Armpit. Surveyed by Phil Dodge, Don Frankfort, Bob Huber and Jim Palmer.
Elephant Hall 1985 Lower level cave reached from a 60-foot rappel from Devils Lookout. Surveyed by Jim Pisarowicz, Warren Netherton and Karen Rosga
Elephant Trunk
A huge trunk passage 40-feet wide, 30-feet high and over 800-feet long. Named for its size. John Scheltens & Mike Wiles ?
Elephant Stream 07/17/1989 A passage with sediment formed into swirling patterns by running water. There were 5-inch gypsum starbursts too. Darren Ressler, Stacy Smyth, Brad Stephenson, & Michelle Youngquist

Elks Resort

Elks Room 06/06/1976 A projection coming up from the floor of this room resembles an elk's head. Surveyed by Carla Knapp, Janine LeRoy, Sandy Simon and Chuck Ward.
Elronds Hall 07/01/1981 A 24-foot high passage. The ceiling looks like calcite jungle area. Phil Dodge, Tom Sheehan, Mary and Mike Laycock.
Emperor Maximus 08/01/1970 This HUGE helictite bush has been described as "the ruler of all helictite bushes". Chris Hill
EMT Hall 11/17/1990 Ted Lappin,Mike Behn, & Ed LaRock
ENT Forest, The 11/18/1989 A group of stalagmites consisting of densely intergrown black helictites. Ed LaRock, Alan Williams, Larry Richards, & Mike Behn

Escape Stairs
A service trail between the Eastern Star Room and the lower elevator landing. Constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) in 1934.
ES Stream 07/17/1989 Evidence in sediment of a former stream. Just off of the Elephant Trunk, thus named Elephant Stuff Stream. Darren Ressler, Michelle Youngquist, Stacy Smyth, & Brad Stephenson
Eughx! 10/24/1992 Tight crawl leading to Cosmos. Stan Allison, Harry Burgess, Mike Wiles and Myk Coughlin.
Evan's Little Lake 01/14/1994 Steve Lester, Doug Kent, Evan Anderson, & Lee Blazek
Evan's Plunge 10/22/1986 Small lake just beyond Lake Land and named after the explorers favorite haunt after a long caving trip (especially the hot tubs). Evans Plunge resort was giving the explorers free admittance at the time and an article was put in the local newspaper about the naming of the lake. Jim Pisarowicz and Bob Kobza
Ever Ending Room 3/14/01 The cavers surveyed a room with multiple dead-end side leads and so they named it theEver Ending Room. Rod Horrocks, Dave Shurtz, Ryan Shurtz, and Jordan Shurtz.
Evil Twin 05/13/1995 A very exposed traverse across a pit to a rope. Paul Burger, Steve Lester, Dennis Laird, & Bruce Albright.
Expectation Trail 03/1/1983 When first explored, this section of cave was headed straight towards the Blowhole by the park's horse corrals. There was much expectation that a connection could be made with the Blowhole. The connection did not materialize on this trip. Surveyed by Tod Collet, Andy Harley, Ted Stlouks and Don Susfolk.
Exposition Hall 07/21/2000 A 30 x 50' room just north of the benches in the Fairgrounds. Named because Exposition Halls are often associated with State Fairgrounds. Surveyed by Rod Horrocks, Ed Schenk, Belinda Fox, & Todd Brink.
Eye of the Needle 03/11/1992 Max Manzur, Becky Ward, Wes Allen, & David Coles.
