Garganell's Castle 05/27/1984 Garganel is the villain in the Smurf cartoons. The Smurf Path leads to Garganel's Castle. Mike Babbitt, Warren Netherton and Jim Pisarowicz.
Garganell's Dungeon 06/08/1984 Garganell is the bad guy in the Smurf TV show. This room is under Garganell's Castle. Reached by way of Smurf Path. Warren Netherton, Jim Pisarowicz and Karen Rosga.

Gateway Hall 07/01/1964 A large chamber that is the "gateway" to the lakes route. A fault has been located in this room which seems to separate the lakes passage from the other parts of Wind Cave. Herb and Jan Conn and Dave Schnute.

Ghost Lake 10/13/1979 An area which looks like it was at one time a small lake but is now dried up. Ken Allgier, John Scheltens and Mike Wiles.

Large limestone blocks on the floor in this room look like they have been quarried. Named by the CCC.

Glacier 1901 Flowstone located on the Cork Screw Path stairs on the Garden of Eden Tour.
Gobi Desert 10/27/1986 The floor of this passage looks like sand ripples in the desert. Bob Kobza, Jim Pisarowicz and John Scheltens.
Golden Way 11/1/2000 Rod led an afternoon training trip to resurvey the old UGA survey, which they named the Golden Way after Rod lost his wedding band. Rod Horrocks, Matt Reece, & Ari Juhala
Gollum's Den 07/01/1981 A small room named after the character "Gollum" from J.R.R. Tolkin's book The Hobbit. Phil Dodge, Tom Sheehan and Mary and Mike Laycock.

Gordon's Worm Hole 07/27/1979 A small 8"-high squeeze at AW2. Phil Dodge, Bill Holmes, and Jim Lindley.
Gore Hole 11/11/2000 After surveying into a nearby virgin walking passage, they named several new areas, including the Campaign Trail, Battle of the Bulge, and Split Vote. They also named a 20 x 40-foot room the Ballot Box and a large balcony, the Gore Hole. All the names were in reference to the on-going Florida presidential election contest. Great False Alarm 10/27/1986 This area of the cave has many false floors. As Bob was mapping this passage the floor broke away under his feet. Luckily the drop was only 2 feet. In other areas nearby the drop would have been 30 feet or more. Bob Kobza, Jim Pisarowicz and John Scheltens.

Gypsy Road 11/16/1991 A large but windy passage with unbelievable amounts of gypsum crusts, flowers, and crystals everywhere. Also named because Bob is Bohemian (Gypsy). Found by Jim Nepstad, Bob Kobza and Stan Allison
