Land of 10,000 Lakes 12/01/1970 Named for the areas abundance of small pools. Andy Flurkey and John Scheltens.

Lars Run 10/30/1985 Named for Lars Virbeck, the first person to get into this passage. Heidi Grengg, Jim Pisarowicz, Fred Roberts and Lars Virbeck.
Laugh Track 04/29/1986 When Greg Nepstad first crawled into this room Jim Pisarowicz and Jim Nepstad were still in an incredibly tight passage. Up ahead of them they could hear Greg carrying on with a string of #$!#!'s which started them laughing. Jim & Greg Nepstad, and Jim Pisarowicz

Lone Pine Point 09/25/1988 Small room with a 8" logomite that nearly resembles a perfect Christmas tree. Steve Baldwin & Jim Nepstad
Lone Tree 12/12/1982 A single logomite is found in one corner of this room. Ken Allgier, John Scheltens and Dave Springhetti.
Lonely Palace 02/02/1895 The words "Lonely Palace" were smoked on the ceiling of this long lost room rediscovered by Shaun Larson, Jim Nepstad, and Darren Ressler in December of 1987. Originally found on February 2, 1895 by Roy McDonald, Peter Paulson and John Stabler. One of the places in the cave where early explorers broke off speleothems, wrapped them in newspaper to carry the formations out of the cave to sell to early cave visitors. Lovers Retreat

Lunar Tubes 07/13/1991 In some areas of Wind Cave the rocks are so weathered that large pieces weigh virtually nothing. These rocks are usually called lunar rocks by the cave explorers. This area consists of many low crawls with many of these feather-light rocks.
